Interest in the CaruShow is picking up ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

Several teams have inquired about the availability of Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso, reports Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

The third-year pro is averaging 5.5 points in 18.4 minutes across 46 games this season. He has quickly become a fan favorite in Los Angeles thanks in part to his high-flying style, and he even finished fourth in fan voting among Western Conference guards for the 2020 All-Star Game.

Despite Lakers fans' adoration, a switch could unlock more playing time for Caruso. The 25-year-old is low on Los Angeles' backcourt pecking order behind Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, and Rajon Rondo.

Caruso is earning $2.75 million as part of a two-year deal he signed with the Lakers last summer. The Texas A&M product will earn the same amount next season.
