Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler and Indiana Pacers guard T.J. Warren have each been fined by the NBA after their involvement in an altercation during Wednesday's matchup between the two clubs, the league announced Friday.

Butler was penalized $35,000 for his role and for later escalating the incident on social media. Meanwhile, Warren was docked $25,000 for his participation and for making an obscene gesture toward his counterpart following his ejection.

The two players clashed midway through the third quarter, resulting in a technical foul for each.

Shortly after play resumed, Butler picked up an offensive foul for putting his shoulder into Warren's chest. As the Heat star walked away, Warren followed and clapped in his direction, resulting in a second technical foul and subsequent ejection for the latter.

The Heat and Pacers next meet March 20 in Indiana.
