It's no secret Giannis Antetokounmpo's outside shooting is one of the few weaknesses in his game, and so the Milwaukee Bucks superstar is seeking advice from one of the NBA's most prolific 3-point marksmen in Kyle Korver.
"It's really important (that) I always try to talk to him a little bit," Antetokounmpo told reporters on the first day of training camp, including ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "And he's a great guy. He's not trying to get in your head or overstep and talk too much to you. Whenever he gives me tips, I always try to listen ... one of the best shooters to ever play the game.
"He's definitely going to help this team, but he's definitely going to help a lot of players develop their shooting ability."
Antetokounmpo is a career 27.7% shooter from distance and made just 30.6% of his jump shots last season, per NBA.com. He attempted a career-high 2.8 triples per game during the 2018-19 campaign, but only connected at a 25.6% clip.
Meanwhile, Korver owns a career 42.9% mark from downtown and ranks fourth on the NBA's all-time list with 2,351 triples made. He averaged 8.6 points on 41.6% shooting - including a 39.7% success rate from beyond the arc - across 70 appearances last season.
Korver signed a one-year, $2.6-million deal this offseason to reunite with his old head coach Mike Budenholzer. The 16-year veteran should fit nicely on a Bucks squad that ranked second in the Association in triples made and attempted per game during the 2018-19 campaign.
