Lillard on series-clinching shot vs. Thunder: 'That was for Seattle'
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard had Seattle on his mind when he hit that epic buzzer-beater to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series last season.
Lillard spoke about the series-clinching shot during an appearance on the "Sports Business Radio Podcast" with Brian Berger on Tuesday.
"What can I say? That was for Seattle," he said, referring to the Seattle SuperSonics, who relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008.

The door appears open for the NBA to return to Seattle, though ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported in October that prospective Seattle ownership groups were told that expansion may not happen until 2025 at the earliest.
