Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing a procedure on his sprained left thumb Friday.
That timeline means Oubre will be sidelined for the rest of the regular season, which ends April 10.
Oubre was originally injured in the Suns' overtime victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on March 16. He scored a career-high 32 points in the win along with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
The 23-year-old was in the midst of a career year before the injury. Since being acquired via trade from the Washington Wizards on Dec. 17, Oubre has averaged 16.9 points, 1.6 assists, and 4.9 rebounds, all personal bests.
