Twitter reacts to news of Anthony Davis' trade request
Monday morning came with some huge news, as it was reported that New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis has requested a trade. Twitter, usually still quiet at that early hour, was awakened almost immediately.

And a rough couple of weeks for New Orleans sports fans gets worse.
Look on the bright side, New Orleans fans: At least this Anthony Davis news isn’t coming right after the most disappointing loss in New Orleans sports history.

Good lord, talk about bad sports stretches for a city...
Davis’ plan to turn down being the to be the richest player in NBA history is a damning condemnation of the Pelicans franchise.

This is a complete failure. Starting from ownership and trickling down.
Keeping him in NO has always been Priority 1.
Countdown to departure just like Chris Paul.... https://t.co/uAnDftlvbr

Anthony Davis is a hero. An absolute hero. He just saved us, at least for 24-48 hours, from Radio Row hell, Media Day nonsense and the worst sports week of the year.
