The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz for Alec Burks, a 2020 second-round pick, and the Washington Wizards' 2021 second-round pick, the Cavs confirmed Thursday.
The Cavaliers reportedly promised Korver he'd be traded if LeBron James left Cleveland, but did not immediately follow through.
Korver, 37, is a 43.2 percent career 3-point shooter and will immediately help the Jazz from the perimeter. They currently rank 29th from behind the arc in the Association.
The 27-year-old Burks was stuck behind Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, and Royce O'Neale on Utah's depth chart, but he will likely see more minutes in Cleveland.
