Odom announces he'll play in China

I have some good news to share with you on this beautiful day from The Netherlands. My heart literally warms up now I can finally share with you all that I'm returning to play Basketball. I will be playing in China ! God is good ! Thanks lord for giving me another chance in life and thank you fans for your the love and support during all those hard years. Lamar Odom last played in an NBA game in 2013, and has since dealt with a number of off-court issues - including nearly dying from a drug overdose in 2015 and reportedly being present when gunshots were fired at a New York restaurant last week.

But after saying recently he would look for opportunities overseas, the 14-year NBA veteran announced Thursday that he'll be playing in China.

Odom, who turns 39 in November, didn't say which CBA team he'll be signing with.
