Some people call him the "Speights Cowboy," some people call him "Marreese."
Either way, 10-season NBA veteran Marreese Speights is close to an agreement with the Guangzhou Long-Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association, a source told international basketball reporter David Pick.
Speights averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13 minutes per game for the Orlando Magic last season.
The 30-year-old floor-spacing big man was a member of the 2014-15 Golden State Warriors team that won the NBA championship.
The Long-Lions have rostered several players with NBA experience recently, including Tyler Hansbrough and Semaj Christon last season.
