It was apparently the closest fan vote in the history of the award, but in the end, Joel Embiid was the real MVP.

The Philadelphia 76ers All-Star beat out LeBron James with 58 percent of the vote to be named the 2018 "Shaqtin' a Fool" Most Valuable Player on Tuesday night.

Embiid is the sixth player to win the annual blooper award, joining JaVale McGee, Kendrick Perkins, Otto Porter, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook.
