Rockets guard James Harden, Cavaliers forward LeBron James, and Pelicans center Anthony Davis were named the three finalists for the NBA's Most Valuable Player award on Wednesday.

Harden is the favorite this season after narrowly losing out in 2017. In his sixth All-Star campaign, he led Houston to an NBA-best 65-win season and averaged a career-high and NBA-leading 30.4 points to go with 8.8 assists and 5.4 boards.

James continued to dominate in his 15th season, averaging 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists. The 14-time All-Star is going for the fifth MVP award of his illustrious career.

Davis, also a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, has a shot at winning MVP after averaging 28.1 points, 11.1 boards, and a league-leading 2.6 blocks per game. He led the Pelicans to their best record since 2009.

The winner will be revealed June 25.
