Bradley Beal was an absolute non-factor in Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night, and his head coach felt responsible.

The Washington Wizards guard told reporters Friday that Scott Brooks apologized for not drawing up enough plays for him during Washington's 130-119 loss.

"I guess he figured I wasn't shooting the ball enough and I guess he thought that was his fault. I don't know. He's probably the biggest confidence-giver," Beal said, according to The Washington Post's Candace Buckner.

Beal attempted 11 shots in 24 minutes of action, finishing with nine points on three makes. He had nearly as many personal fouls (four) as he did rebounds and assists (five), and Washington was outscored by 34 points during his limited action.

The 24-year-old All-Star was assessed his first personal foul just minutes into the opening quarter, and then another with 3:59 remaining in the frame, forcing him to the bench.

His activity in the fourth quarter has been problematic in the series so far. Toronto's held Beal to a grand total of just two points, and he's missed all four of his 3-point attempts.

Brooks said Wednesday that the Raptors' defense has been extremely physical with Beal, and Beal's failure to get into a flow offensively can be blamed on the player, Brooks, and point guard John Wall.

Game 3 is Friday in Washington, where the Wizards will try to win their first game of the series.
