The most bizarre ongoing story in the NBA this season took yet another bizarre turn this week, when ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the San Antonio Spurs held an emotional team meeting to address the mysterious Kawhi Leonard injury situation, and to implore Leonard - who has been cleared by team doctors - to get back on the court.

The specifics of Wojnarowski's report about the meeting have since been disputed by Spurs players, but their coach, Greg Popovich, could neither confirm or deny the report, since he apparently wasn't at the meeting.

"I wasn't invited," Popovich told reporters Friday, according to Mike Finger of the San Antonio Express-News.

Popovich has already said his piece where his star's troublesome hamstring is concerned, saying the decision on a return rests entirely with Leonard and his personal doctors, and that he doesn't expect Leonard to return this season.

Leonard, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time All-NBA first teamer, and one-time Finals MVP, has played just nine games.
