Anthony Davis needed just one game to nurse his sprained left ankle back to health.

Following a one-game absence, the New Orleans Pelicans superstar returned to action for Sunday's high-stakes clash with the red-hot Utah Jazz.

The Pelicans had won 10 straight games with Davis in the lineup, but they got rocked without him by the Washington Wizards on Friday. The All-Star big man is averaging a career-high 28.1 points per game this season to go along with 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.3 blocks. He's also shooting career-best percentages from the field (53.7), 3-point range (36.2), and the free-throw line (82.7).

The Jazz sit 10th in the Western Conference, but are just 2.5 games back of the fourth-place Pelicans. They've won 17 of their last 19 games, including a 133-109 beatdown of New Orleans the last time these teams met.
