Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will miss another three away games in December due to a 25-day restriction on out-of-state travel related to his March arrest.

While a member of the Detroit Pistons, Caldwell-Pope was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He instead pleaded guilty to a lesser offense that came with a 12-month probation period. Completing an intensive 25-day program in California will allow him to be released from probation early.

"With the court situation, we came up with the agreement that I still get to carry on with my season but only in the state of California for the 25-day restriction that I have," Caldwell-Pope told ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "I was blessed that I am able to continue to play ball."

Caldwell-Pope found out about the 25-day program and its attendant travel restriction following a court appearance in Michigan last week. He already missed Thursday's game in Cleveland against the Cavaliers, and will miss two more away games against the Houston Rockets (Dec. 20 and Dec. 31) and one game against the Minnesota Timberwolves (Jan 1.) over the course of the program.

The Lakers' only other away game during Caldwell-Pope's restricted travel period isn't affected, since it's a date with the Golden State Warriors.

In addition to the legal ramifications of the incident, Caldwell-Pope was suspended by the NBA for the first two games of the 2017-18 season.
