Jazz's Gobert out at least 2 weeks with sprained knee, bone bruise
Rudy Gobert's knees aren't helping him this season.
The Utah Jazz center will miss at least two weeks of action due to a sprained PCL in his left knee and a bone bruise in his tibia, the team announced Saturday.
Sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania that he's expected to be out for a month.
Gobert suffered the injury in Friday's win over the Celtics, and had to be helped off the floor. The 7-foot-2 Frenchman already missed 11 games earlier this season due to a bone bruise in his other knee, and only returned to the lineup on Dec. 4.
He remains the Jazz's defensive centerpiece, leading the team in rebounds and blocks, while ranking fourth in scoring. Utah finishes a tough back-to-back with a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The Jazz announced they're recalling Tony Bradley from the G League in the wake of the Gobert report.
