As the Denver Nuggets players did earlier in the night, both the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves locked arms in their respective lines during the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" on Saturday.

Linking arms is not considered a violation of the NBA's rules, which state both players and coaches must stand "reasonably still" and "in a straight and orderly line" during the national anthem.

These rules were recently reaffirmed to the league's 30 teams in an official memo.

President Donald Trump has been critical of NFL players taking a knee during the anthem in protest, but is accepting of locking arms in solidarity.
