On his 40th birthday, Jason Terry received a very special present from the Milwaukee Bucks.

The veteran shooting guard has reportedly signed a one-year, $2.3-million guaranteed contract to remain with the Bucks for at least one more season, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Terry averaged 4.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 42.7 percent on 3-pointers in his first season in Milwaukee. More importantly, the former Sixth Man of the Year winner filled the role of veteran graybeard for the young Bucks squad, providing a needed dose of experience.

At his peak, Terry starred for the Dallas Mavericks from 2004-12, averaging 16.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. He captured his lone NBA championship in 2011 alongside Dirk Nowitzki, and shared the backcourt with current Bucks coach Jason Kidd.

Terry joins Kings wing Vince Carter and Spurs sixth man Manu Ginobili as the only 40-year-olds set to take the court this coming season.
