Melo posts about 'adventure into unknown territory'

USA Today Sports

Could Carmelo Anthony be dropping hints about a move?

The All-Star forward has been embroiled in trade rumors for some time, and they likely won't let up until he's dealt now that he's informed the New York Knicks he doesn't want to return.

He shared an Instagram post Saturday in which he mused about the creative process, improvement, and, most notably, "an adventure into unknown territory."

Anthony, who's spent the last six-plus years with his hometown club, has apparently soured on the Knicks following four straight years of missing the playoffs. Making matters worse is the seemingly never-ending drama, including ex-team president Phil Jackson's public and aggressive efforts to run the team's best player out of town last season before parting ways with the organization.

Anthony has been linked to several teams, with the front-runner appearing to be the Rockets. It's believed he'll only waive his no-trade clause to join forces with James Harden and Chris Paul in Houston, though the Portland Trail Blazers have reportedly emerged as a dark horse to land the 33-year-old.

It's probably worth pointing out the red, black, grey, and white overlays in Melo's training montage. Those are a mix of the Rockets and Blazers team colors.

Let the speculation continue.
