The New York Knicks hired Craig Robinson from the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday to serve as the general manager of their G-League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Robinson will also fill other roles for the franchise at large, including player development.

He also happens to be Michelle Obama's older brother, which makes him the brother-in-law to former President Barack Obama.

The 55-year-old was a star player at Princeton in the 1980s, played professionally overseas, and was even drafted to the NBA (without ever being signed) before leaving basketball for a career in finance.

He eventually returned to the sport as an assistant coach at Northwestern. Robinson parlayed that experience into head coaching roles at Brown and Oregon State, before joining the Bucks in 2016 as their vice president of player and organizational development.
