The New York Knicks have their new general manager: ex-Kings vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry. Now, Knicks fans know exactly what their new executive cost the team.

The Knicks will reportedly send the Kings a second-round pick in the 2019 draft, plus cash considerations, in exchange for Perry's services, according to USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick.

Additionally, Perry has agreed to a new five-year contract as the Knicks' general manager, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Perry moves into the position previously held by interim general manager Steve Mills, who will reportedly take up Phil Jackson's old role as team president.

Because of outstanding trades with varying protections, the Knicks are due to receive the two lowest 2019 second-round picks out of a pool consisting of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, and Orlando Magic. Of the two picks that are conveyed to New York, the Kings will receive the better pick.

In his short tenure in the Kings' front office, Perry was pivotal in deploying a quick culture shift. In addition to steering the team toward selecting De'Aaron Fox No. 5 overall in the 2017 draft, the team brought in a trio of respected veterans on short-term contracts - George Hill, Vince Carter, and Zach Randolph - as well as Euroleague star Bogdan Bogdanovic.
