The Atlanta Hawks and guard Jamal Crawford have reached a buyout agreement, with the team requesting waivers on the veteran guard.

The move was widely expected and will make Crawford an unrestricted free agent. He was officially acquired Thursday from the Clippers in a three-team trade involving Paul Millsap and Danilo Gallinari.

Reports have already linked him with the Cleveland Cavaliers, although the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards are also apparently interested in the 17-year veteran.

Crawford previously played for the Hawks from 2009-11. The 37-year-old has played for six teams in his lengthy career, averaging 15.3 points on 35 percent 3-point shooting in 1,182 games.
