Report: Billups still without formal offer from Cavs

After having met with Chauncey Billups in each of the past two days, it was reported the Cleveland Cavaliers had extended Billups a front-office position.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski had other things to say Thursday morning, though, tweeting that while Billups and the Cavs continue discussions, "no formal offer's been made" on behalf of the organization.

Since Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and former general manager David Griffin parted ways, Billups has been the only candidate to interview for the job. Whether or not the Detroit Pistons legend would assume the role of general manager or president of basketball operations isn't entirely clear.

Former Milwaukee Bucks assistant general manager Justin Zanik has reportedly also been considered for a front-office role should Billups ultimately join the Cavs.
