Look: Bay Area newspaper trolls OKC after Durant's title win
They say revenge is a dish best served petty. Or something like that.
After the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to capture their second championship in three years, a Bay Area newspaper released the following cover in honor of Kevin Durant:

While apt, "Mr. Reliable" is also a play on a nickname Durant was given three years ago while he was a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The OKC newspaper dubbed KD "Mr. Unreliable" because, despite his robust numbers, the Thunder trailed the Memphis Grizzlies 3-2 in the opening round of the 2014 playoffs.
Durant responded by scoring 36 and 33 points, respectively, in the next two games to send the Grizz packing. In the end, his team fell in the Western Conference finals to the eventual champion San Antonio Spurs, while Durant claimed league MVP honors.

Following nine seasons with the franchise, the superstar joined the Warriors last summer in free agency. He helped the Dubs to a first-place finish in the regular season and a historic 16-1 run in the playoffs as the club avenged its 2016 Finals defeat.
Durant was unanimously named Finals MVP, averaging 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 blocks, and a steal during the series.
He was, indeed, Mr. Reliable.
