Spurs' Manu Ginobili: Provides across-the-board production Friday
Ginobili (ankle) contributed six points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists, three rebounds and three steals across 22 minutes in a 105-97 win over the Clippers on Friday.
Analysis:
Ginobili didn't look to have any limitations in his return to action after tweaking his ankle in the Spurs' final game before the All-Star break, as he logged his most minutes of February and keyed a 16-5 run in the third quarter with a big three-pointer. Coach Gregg Popovich will likely find ways to give the 39-year-old periodic rest over the final month and a half of the regular season, but Ginobili should be ready to consistently play as many minutes as necessary once the postseason arrives.
