Kings' Arron Afflalo: Declines to enter game Sunday
Afflalo declined to enter the game off the bench Sunday during the Kings' 99-79 loss to the Mavericks, according to league sources, Dave Carmichael of KHTK Sports 1140 AM reports.
Analysis:
Afflalo expressed displeasure when former Knicks coach Kurt Rambis moved him to the bench last season in New York, and after falling out of the Kings' lineup following a slow start to the current campaign, it appears he's dissatisfied with his reserve role yet again. Coach Dave Joerger seems committed to giving Ben McLemore a look as the starting shooting guard and Garrett Temple is playing well as his backup, so Afflalo should continue to remain on the outside of the Kings' rotation until further notice. If Afflalo's morale doesn't improve, the Kings could look to ship him elsewhere.
