Trail Blazers' Festus Ezeli: Sidelined Tuesday against Jazz
Ezeli (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's season opener against the Jazz, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Analysis:
Ezeli seems to be coming along in his recovery from an injection he received in his left knee back in late August, as he was able to take part in limited activity during practice last week. However, since he missed all of the preseason and is still waiting to return to full contact, Ezeli appears in line to miss at least a handful of games to begin the season. While Ezeli is out, Ed Davis, Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh could each benefit from a few extra minutes off the bench.
