Timberwolves' Kris Dunn: Shooting woes continue in preseason loss

Dunn started at point guard and played 27 minutes in Sunday's 112-94 preseason loss to the Thunder, but finished with just six points (2-9 FG, 2-2 FT), six assists and two rebounds.

Analysis:

With Ricky Rubio and the Wolves' other regular starters getting the night off as the team finished off a back-to-back set, Dunn slotted in on the top unit, but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity. As has been the case throughout the preseason, Dunn shot the ball inefficiently and ran into foul trouble. The rookie's sound defense should put him in line to enter the regular season as the top backup at point guard, but his 9-for-41 (21.9%) mark from the field in the preseason has made Rubio look like a superb shooter by comparison.
