Varejao undecided on accepting championship ring from Cavs
An NBA championship ring has been made available to Golden State Warriors center Anderson Varejao, despite him being on the losing side this year.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have offered the 33-year-old Brazilian a ring, but as he told reporters during Warriors Media Day on Monday, he remains undecided on accepting it.
Varejao became the first player in NBA history to suit up for both finalists in one season. Cleveland dealt him near the deadline to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for a future second-round pick, shortly after which he was waived.
The Warriors then signed him for the veteran's minimum to fortify their bench, where he averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds over 22 games, including 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds during their postseason run.
