The New York Knicks waived point guard Tony Wroten as part of the Derrick Rose trade, the team announced Wednesday.
The team signed Wroten to a three-year deal in March but he didn't play or practice with the team. He was viewed as a potential piece for the future.
Wroten underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL last February while he played as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
