5 guesses at what Lowry did during locker room break

Nobody really knows why Kyle Lowry mysteriously disappeared down the tunnel during the middle of Game 2 Thursday.

His curious absence was directly followed by a 16-2 Cleveland run which effectively sealed the win for the Cavaliers. They would carry a 14-point advantage into halftime and finish with a second-straight blowout victory.

Lowry gave a vague explanation after the game. Saying he needed to "decompress" and to "reconfigure himself," but what does that really mean?

What was Lowry really doing in the locker room?

Here's five uneducated guesses.

Bathroom break

The most likely reason for Lowry's sudden exit was probably a guise to use the toilet. Your body is undefeated, so when nature called, Lowry had to answer.

It happens to the best of them.

Even LeBron James has fallen victim to untimely bathroom breaks during games.

Mid-game snack

It's less likely, especially since Lowry has trimmed down dramatically this season, but it's hard to resist cravings.

And look, Lowry has a history of this. He used to sneak out in the middle of the night with his buddy DeMar DeRozan for frozen treats.

"Whose idea was it to walk to McDonalds to get McFlurrys at like three in the morning? It was yours," DeRozan said to Lowry in an episode of the Dan LeBatard Show.

"That was when I was fat, though," Lowry quickly shot back.

Catching a replay of LeBron's dunk

Nobody could blame Lowry for wanting to catch a second peak at LeBron James' incredible breakaway dunk. The King took off from the dotted circle, rocked the windmill, then threw it in reverse with two hands.

So nice you had to see it a second time in the locker room? Probably not.

Getting the shoestring treatment

Lowry didn't complain of an injury after Game 2, but he's been dealing with a wonky elbow since January.

It's clear that swelling in his right elbow has affected his shooting stroke (he's 1-of-14 from deep in the Conference finals), and Toronto's medical staff has a go-to treatment for swelling.

Was Lowry getting his elbow wrapped in a shoestring? Probably not, and even if he did, the treatment did him no good. Lowry was 1-of-4 from deep in the second half.

Catching a breather

The simplest answer might just be that Lowry needed a break. He could really use one. The embattled point guard leads all playoff performers in total minutes (612) and games played (16). Compare that to just 373 in 10 games for James.

Be it physically, or mentally (likely both), Lowry is exhausted. And with yet another poor performance in the books, maybe he just needed to let off some steam away from the sight of cameras.
