VIDEO: McDermott slams Whiteside to the hardwood with bear-hug tackle

Doug McDermott looked like he was just trying to wrap up Hassan Whiteside under the basket before the Miami Heat center could rise up for what would've been two easy points.

McDermott's momentum, though, sent him and Whiteside crashing to the hardwood, turning the friendly bear hug into a rugged tackle.

Whiteside was a pretty good sport about it.

"I got sacked for a loss of five," he joked after the game, before explaining the practicality of the play: "If he didn't do it, I was gonna dunk on him."
