Gobert's 24 boards help Jazz beat shorthanded Grizz

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Memphis, TN - Rudy Gobert scored 15 points and set a career high with 24 rebounds as the Utah Jazz defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 93-82 on Tuesday.

Gobert pulled down 18 defensive rebounds in Utah's third straight win - the first time it has done so this season.

Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors each scored 21 points and Rodney Hood added 13 points off the bench in the win.

"Tough night for us," said Grizzlies coach David Joerger. "We had a couple of defensive breakdowns in the second half."

Memphis was without power forward Zach Randolph and backup point guard Beno Udrih, both due to illness, and swingman Tony Allen, who was serving a one-game suspension for an undisclosed violation of team policy.

Joerger called the violation an "isolated event" before the game.
