NBA Game Summary - Sacramento at Utah

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Gordon Hayward scored 17 of his 30 points in the first half to help the Utah Jazz to a 102-90 win over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

Derrick Favors deposited 20 points with nine rebounds and five assists and Enes Kanter had 17 points with 13 rebounds for the Jazz, who snapped a three- game losing streak.

"Overall it was a great team win for us," Hayward said. "We got going early with some stuff."

DeMarcus Cousins finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds for Sacramento.

Kings interim coach Tyrone Corbin returned to Utah for the first time since he was fired in the offseason after four seasons coaching the Jazz.

"We have to come in everyday, block out the outside distractions and do our job. Be professional basketball players," Cousins said after reports surfaced that the Kings are interested in George Karl for their next coach.

The Kings have lost three straight.

Kanter scored six straight points early in the first as Utah jumped out to an 11-4 lead. The margin reached as high as 11 in the frame after Rudy Gobert's dunk and the Jazz brought a 25-15 lead into the second.

After Ben McLemore canned a 3-pointer to bring the Kings within six, Hayward buried a pair of triples to push the lead to 44-32. Ramon Sessions hit a jumper in the closing seconds to cut Sacramento's deficit to 49-39 at halftime.

Utah took control of the game early in the third by scoring the first eight points of the quarter. Kanter scored six points during what turned out to be a 15-2 run to start the third for the Jazz.

With Sacramento down 20, Cousins netted a layup to start a 10-2 burst for the visitors. The Jazz entered the fourth up 75-61 thanks to Hayward's driving layup just before the buzzer.

The Jazz lead again reached 20 early in the fourth and they cruised to the victory.
