Martin Truex Jr.: Top-5 Finish in Coke Zero Sugar 400
Truex Jr. finished fourth in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway Saturday night.
Analysis:
The Joe Gibbs Racing star bucked his Daytona history and turned in a great performance in this 400-mile battle. Truex led 14 laps and finished runner-up in the second stage. From that point on he would be a Top 10 driver and race among the leaders. Truex's Toyota would get a bit dinged in the lap 153 big one, but the team would make repairs and he would carry on. The final restart saw Truex climb from seventh-place to finish fourth in the Coke Zero Sugar 400. It was his 11th Top 5 of the season and just his third-career Top 5 at Daytona.
