Denny Hamlin: Runner-up Finish at Pocono Raceway
Hamlin finished second in the Great American Getaway 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The Joe Gibbs Racing star would start on the pole and lead the opening 32 laps of the day. That would be good enough to get Hamlin the stage 1 win, but that would be the limit of his time in the lead. The final restart and green-flag run to the finish would see the driver of the No. 11 Toyota track Chase Briscoe but he couldn't pass him for the win. The runner-up finish was his eighth Top 5 of the season and extended his current Top-5 streak to three races.
