Chase Elliott wins at Pocono after top 2 cars disqualified
Chase Elliott, who crossed the line in third place, has been gifted the victory for Sunday's M&M's Fan Appreciation 400 at Pocono Raceway after the top two finishers were disqualified.
Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch finished first and second, respectively, but failed inspection and were removed from the podium.
NASCAR found an issue with the aero of the front fascia of both cars.
"There really was no reason why there was material there that shouldn't have been," Cup Series managing director Brad Moran said, according to Kelly Crandall of Racer.

Joe Gibbs Racing, the team that employs both Hamlin and Busch, is allowed to appeal the decision.
Tyler Reddick and Daniel Suarez moved up to second and third, respectively.
As a result of the double DQs, Hamlin plummets to 21st in the overall Cup Series standings, while Busch falls to eighth.
Christopher Bell was the biggest benefactor, gaining two spots in the championship and moving up to sixth.
