Earnhardt Jr. marries longtime girlfriend on New Year's Eve
While 2016 wasn't great professionally for Dale Earnhardt Jr., the final day of the year will still make it one to remember for the NASCAR veteran.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver married longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann on New Year's Eve in a North Carolina ceremony that was attended by many of his fellow NASCAR icons.

The pair had been engaged since 2009, but a new marriage isn't the only bright spot about the new year for Earnhardt. After missing the second half of the season due to concussion-like symptoms, he was medically cleared to return to driving earlier in December.
Among the guests at the ceremony was fellow driver Danica Patrick, who revealed on Instagram she was the lucky one who caught the bouquet:
