VIDEO: Ronda Rousey sends heartfelt message to paralyzed MMA fighter
Ronda Rousey took some time to send a touching message to a former fighter who is currently paralyzed from the neck down.
Steve Watts suffered the devastating injury during a bout last April, and is currently working to regain his mobility. Last month, he received a video from the UFC women's bantamweight champion sending him well-wishes on his road to recovery.
"Because she's such a badass, people think she's mean or cruel. We all have these many faces, but I noticed she was holding her hand to her heart, and for a martial artist of that stature, that struck me as unusual and clearly kind," Watts told The Lost Coast Outpost.
Watts returned the message with a video of his own to her.
A Give Forward page has been set up to help pay for Watts' medical expenses.
