Arlovski on Emelianenko signing with the UFC: 'I think it's a rumor and it's B.S.'

With legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko recently announcing his intention to return to MMA, rumors have been swirling that "The Last Emperor" would land in the UFC.

Current UFC heavyweight and former Emelianenko opponent Andrei Arlovski isn't convinced the former PRIDE heavyweight champion is destined to finally set foot inside the Octagon, though, insisting the rumor is "B.S."

"To be honest with you, I think it's a rumor and it's B.S. that he's gonna come back to the UFC first of all," Arlovski told Submission Radio, according to BloodyElbow.com's Karim Zidan.

"The Pitt Bull" would love nothing more than to avenge his loss to Emelianenko. At Affliction: Day of Reckoning in 2009, an overconfident Arlovski derailed his own momentum by throwing an ill-advised flying knee and was violently picked out of mid-air (and knocked out cold) by a massive overhand right.

"Of course I would love for him to get in the UFC and fight him again to have a rematch," Arlovski said. "But if you're asking about if he's kind of old or not, I don't think so. Because I think a heavyweight's prime time is like 36 to like 40 I think. It's my opinion, I think it's the best prime time for the fighter. And also you have a great example, Randy Couture. He fought, I guess till age 47. In boxing you've got George Foreman. And I think it's a good time for heavyweights, good age."
