Guida uses wrestling to dominate Peralta; calls out dos Anjos
Clay Guida is an impossibly tireless wrestler who always keeps his foot on the gas pedal. Robbie Peralta did not seem prepared for that.
Peralta, who showed flashes of offense on the feet and even opened up a cut above Guida's eye, had nothing - absolutely nothing - for Guida's incredible pressure, and found himself either pinned to the cage, or being sent on an unscheduled trip to the canvas with a big slam.
With a few minutes left in the final round, the fantastically-maned Guida spiked Peralta to the mat, and eventually worked for an arm-triangle choke. Although he wasn't able to finish it, it was the closest anyone came to stopping the fight.
It was a solid, workman-like victory for "The Carpenter".
In a rambling interview following the fight, Guida called out newly-minted lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, a man he defeated back in 2010.
Clay Guida: "I want to congratulate RDA on winning the title. Joe Silva, Dana White, I'm your bonus guy, I want to be your superfight guy."

Although it's unlikely he'll get another shot at dos Anjos, at least his burping game is disturbingly tight.
