The debut of Dana White's slap-fighting league has been pushed back one week after the UFC president was caught on camera slapping his wife at a New Year's Eve celebration in Mexico.

"Power Slap" will now premiere on TBS on Jan. 18 instead of Jan. 11, a UFC official told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Video released by TMZ on Monday shows White's wife, Anne, slapping him in the face at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas before White slaps her in the face.

White later apologized for his actions and said he was "embarrassed" in an interview with TMZ.

White announced "Power Slap," a UFC-backed slap-fighting promotion that he partially owns, in November. "Power Slap" reached a deal with TBS to air eight one-hour episodes. The Nevada State Athletic Commission in October agreed to regulate and oversee the slap-fighting competition, which involves two defenseless people hitting each other with open-palm strikes from across a podium.

Neither the UFC nor parent company Endeavor have commented on the physical altercation between White and his wife.
