Report: Blaydes-Lewis to headline UFC Fight Night on Feb. 20
The UFC has found a new date for Curtis Blaydes-Derrick Lewis.
The heavyweight fight will headline the UFC Fight Night event on Feb. 20, sources told Ariel Helwani of ESPN.
The bout was initially scheduled for Nov. 28, but it was ultimately canceled after Blaydes tested positive for COVID-19. Blaydes and Lewis, the second- and fourth-ranked heavyweight contenders, respectively, were set to headline the event in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex.
The "Razor" has won each of his last four fights and most recently defeated Alexander Volkov by unanimous decision in June. The 29-year-old owns a 14-2 record with one no-contest.
Meanwhile, "The Black Beast" has been victorious in his last three bouts, the last one coming in August versus Alexey Oleynik. Lewis, 35, is 24-7 for his career.
