Ex-UFC contender Horiguchi stops Asakura for Rizin bantamweight title
Former UFC flyweight contender Kyoji Horiguchi made quick work of Kai Asakura in a highly anticipated rematch at Rizin 26 to reclaim the bantamweight title.
The bout came to a decisive end when Horiguchi caught Asakura as he attempted a flying knee. He dropped the now-former champ with some big punches and finished him with a few strikes on the ground.

The two fighters have quite a history. Asakura knocked out Horiguchi in a non-title fight in 2019, but the latter has now evened the score and avenged his earlier loss.

Horiguchi has made stops in various promotions throughout his career. The fighter competed in the UFC from 2013 to 2016 before joining Rizin in 2017. He then had one fight with Bellator before returning to Rizin.
