Another year has come and gone, and with that, so have fights in the UFC, Bellator, and beyond.

There were a few highlights that stood out from the rest. Here's a look at theScore's top five knockouts of 2020.

5. Kevin Holland def. Ronaldo Souza

Event: UFC 256
Date: Dec. 12

Holland's finish of Souza will lead his highlight reel for many years.

"Trailblazer" was taken down by his veteran opponent early in the first round, but he turned that into a violent - and unorthodox - knockout victory.

As he was returning to his feet, Holland landed a right hook that stunned Souza. The rising middleweight immediately jumped on "Jacare" and followed up with a few brutal punches before the referee intervened.

4. Mamed Khalidov def. Scott Askham

Event: KSW 55
Date: Oct. 10

Khalidov recaptured the KSW middleweight title in the most devastating fashion.

The 40-year-old landed a spectacular jumping switch kick just over 30 seconds into his long-awaited rematch against Askham.

Askham collapsed to the canvas, and that was that. Khalidov, with his three-fight skid in the rearview mirror, was once again on top.

3. Jordan Leavitt def. Matt Wiman

Event: UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Vettori
Date: Dec. 5

Leavitt turned heads in his UFC debut.

The undefeated lightweight picked up Matt Wiman, took him to his corner, framed his neck, and then slammed him on his head. Wiman was unconscious as soon as he hit the ground.

It was as violent a slam knockout as you'll see, and it all happened less than 30 seconds into the fight. Afterward, Leavitt performed a move from Dirty Dancing with his coach. Way to make a statement.

2. Cody Garbrandt def. Raphael Assuncao

Event: UFC 250
Date: June 6

Coming off three straight losses, Garbrandt needed to make a statement against longtime contender Assuncao. And boy, did he deliver.

After a cautious nine minutes, the former bantamweight champion nailed Assuncao with a devastating punch with only a couple seconds left in the second round.

Assuncao crumpled to his stomach right as the horn sounded, and one thing was for certain at that moment: Garbrandt was back, and in a big way.

1. Joaquin Buckley def. Impa Kasanganay

Event: UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen
Date: Oct. 10

It doesn't get better than this, folks.

Buckley's spin. The thud. Kasanganay's graceful fall. The commentators' reactions. All of it was magical.

Buckley entered his preliminary bout against undefeated middleweight prospect Kasanganay as a 2-1 underdog and left as the owner of a viral finish.

Midway through the second round, Kasanganay caught a left kick from Buckley, who then used Kasangany as leverage for a jump spinning back kick. It landed flush on Kasanganay's chin, and in that moment, Buckley's life changed forever.

Not only was this the most insane knockout of 2020, it's one of the greatest in history.

Honorable mentions: Sean O'Malley def. Eddie Wineland, Beneil Dariush def. Scott Holtzman, Beneil Dariush def. Drakkar Klose, Khaos Williams def. Abdul Razak Alhassan
