The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation overturned Journey Newson's win at UFC 247 due to a failed drug test, according to documents obtained by ESPN's Marc Raimondi.
Newson's manager, Jason House, told Raimondi that his client tested positive for marijuana.
The UFC bantamweight could reportedly face a fine, as well as a suspension likely no longer than 90 days.
Newson defeated Domingo Pilarte via 37-second knockout at the Feb. 8 card in Houston. It was his first victory in the UFC. The 31-year-old made his promotional debut last June but lost to Ricardo Ramos by unanimous decision.
A light heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes headlined UFC 247. Jones, the longtime champion, won by controversial decision.
