Tyron Woodley is expected to make his return to the Octagon in March against Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC London, according to Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie. Woodley last fought in March 2019, when he lost the UFC welterweight title to Kamaru Usman.

Although the promotion hasn't officially announced the bout, Woodley seemingly confirmed it through an Instagram post.

Edwards (18-3) said earlier this month he wanted to face off against Woodley. The Brit wasn't optimistic about the fight taking place, though, as he later changed his focus to a potential rematch versus Usman, who he lost to in 2015 before his current eight-bout winning streak.

Woodley (19-4) carried a streak of four successful title defenses prior to his most recent defeat, his first since 2014. He's since been pushing for a rematch against Usman or a fight versus another elite-tier name in the welterweight division, according to Bohn.

UFC London takes place March 21 at The O2.
