Gustafsson considering UFC return, would like to face Rockhold
Alexander Gustafsson's retirement might not be a long one.
The Swedish fighter, who walked away from MMA in June, said Monday that he's "talking with the UFC" about a potential comeback.
"It came quite fast ... I was home for a couple (of) days, and I had itching in my hands and wanted to get back and train," Gustafsson told Ryan O'Leary of MMA Viking.
Gustafsson left his gloves in the Octagon and retired following a loss to Anthony Smith in front of his home crowd at UFC Stockholm.
But at just 32 years old, the former light heavyweight title challenger is looking to get back inside the cage - with a fight against Luke Rockhold particularly appealing.
"Would love a fight," said Gustafsson. "A fight against Luke would be a great way to come back. He is a tough guy, a legend."
Gustafsson said he wants "to train and get into shape" before making any concrete decisions about a potential return.
