Former UFC and WWE star Ronda Rousey sustained a gruesome injury in a "freak accident" while filming for the FOX drama "9-1-1."
In an Instagram post Tuesday, Rousey revealed she nearly lost her finger after a boat door fell on her hand:
Remarkably, Rousey said she finished her scene - which was the first take - before realizing the seriousness of her injury.
"I thought I just jammed my fingers so I finished the take before looking. (I know it sounds crazy, but I'm used to live audiences and never showing pain unless I'm supposed to.) After a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws," she wrote.
Rousey added she returned the next day to finish shooting after having her finger reattached.
She's currently on hiatus from the WWE to start a family with husband and former UFC heavyweight fighter Travis Browne.
