Greg Hardy continued his string of quick finishes Saturday night at UFC San Antonio.

Just 45 seconds into Hardy's third fight in the UFC, referee Dan Miragliotta called an end to the bout after Juan Adams went for a single-leg takedown and held position as Hardy rained punches down on his foe.

With the victory, Hardy improved to 5-1 in his young fighting career and 2-1 in the UFC, dropping Adams to 5-2 in the process. The former NFL defensive end had already scored wins by TKO in 17 seconds, 57 seconds, and two minutes and 15 seconds, and also enjoyed a 53-second knockout victory.

Hardy's lone loss came by disqualification due to an illegal knee in a fight against Allen Crowder in January.

Adams had been calling for a fight with Hardy for nearly two years. Adams said his mother was a victim of domestic violence; Hardy was found guilty of assaulting his girlfriend in 2014, though the charges were dropped on appeal in 2015.
